Initiatives
The Real Impact Project
(TRIP) of Mazzoni Center
Founded and implemented in 2013
By Stro Kyle, and Vernon Brown An ambitious and radical initiative at the time. TRIP encouraged a more meaningful road map that place focus, resources and funding onto programs that target Black "MSM" to receive confidential HIV Screenings. Stro and co-workers worked diligently to transform a failed and outdated incentive driven program into a social, community organizing alliance between local artists, promoters, and socialites. This initiative allowed front line staff more broader, creative ways to reach marginalized community members most at risk for HIV transmission. This program is still active and can be found here https://www.mazzonicenter.org/trip |
